HD4850 to go past 700MHz core

heya,


Got an AC Twin Turbo cooler for my card, now it's nice and cool at 700\1170.
Now, I want to push the core further, I've seen around the web people who get 800-850.

AMD GPU Clock Tool won't work for me, when I try setting new clocks it says "SetClock failed, please check your device configuration".

Is there any other tool for OCing the card? or maybe a solution for the problem?

yea getting 800-850 core is only on ln2 not air unless you have volt modded it.

I think I can get at least 750 core, but the problem is CCC won't let me get past 700, and AMD GPU Clock Tool doesn't work for me...

have you tried ati tool? if not you could also try to flash the bios to a pre oc one.

ATI Tool doesn't recognize the card's clocks..

Riva Tuner is another you can try. It's kept up to date fairly well so it should support the HD 4850.

Got the core to 750MHZ using ATT, can it go even further?

voltage - 1.158
heat - 58C on load

If there are no stability issues it can go further ofcourse . Have you tried bios editing the HD4850 yet? With Radeon Bios Editor?

Replace CCC with ATI Tray Tools.
