When i play games like call of duty 4, assassins creed and oblivion with my 8800GTX's ( haven't tried any other games ) i get white horizontal lines flickering across the screen when using the new nvidia drivers. the appear mostly on sky textures. If i disable SLI they do not appear. Also if revert back to older drivers and have SLI enabled they do not appear. I am currently using 162 version drivers. So it seems to be a driver problem. Has anybody else experienced this? Or know how to solve this problem
I would roll back the driver for now and use the older one. It might be a case of badly coded drivers for 162 and Nvidia will have to fix it next version.
click on the Nvidia Control panel, go to the page where you can set how you want your gpu's to run on each game, find the game you are having trouble with and tell it to run at "Nvidia's Recommended single card configuration". I was having this same problem with CoD4 and played with teh card settings and this finally got it to go away. Just be warned. After i changed teh setting i lost my profile on CoD4 lol.
