Ok, I'll try and be as complete as I can. And thanks in advance for any helpful, useful info anyone provides.
Want to try the quad core world so I bought an Intel Q6600 and and MSI P6N Diamond mobo.
Along with that a XFX Geforce 8800 GT video card and 2 gig of Crucial RAM (PC2-6400 CL4) and an X-Fi gamer sound card.
It's mostly used for gaming and there is NO overclocking.
Doom 3 plays fine, haven't reinstalled HL2 yet.
Been having random problems with my internet connection (still trying to determine if thats related, never had the problem before).
The one that kills me is this, I do a lot of online racing and use Teamspeak. I have a Logitech USB headset and G25 USB wheel. Before I plug the wheel in teamspeak works great. It seems that after I plug the wheel in that teamspeak goes to crap and when I talk all anyone hears is static. I can hear other people but it is also of degraded quality. Removing and reinstalling the drivers every time. Driver Cleaner. Also removed and reinstalled teamspeak.
So far I have tried moving the video card to different slots, moving the sound card to different slots, ensuring the Sound Blaster has it's own IRQ and moving the wires to my front mounted USB ports to different headers on the motherboard.
I'm frustrated to say the least!
Can anyone tell me, is this related to the Nvidia chipset? I'm about ready to trash this mobo and go with a P35 boeard. SLI was a thought but if it takes going back to an Intel chipset for things to work like they are supposed to then I will.
Sorry for being so long, and thanks again!
