Webcam Question

Hi, I'm not very smart on this kind of thing and after trying to answer my question with Google, decided to ask someone who would know! My husband and I own a property that we can only visit every couple of months, and we want to set up a web cam to monitor it. We have a Verizon "air card" set up inside the house that's there, and we could set up an old laptop there too if we needed to, but it's not very reliable and it's very slow. So we're wondering if there's a webcam out there that doesn't need to be hooked up to a computer--one that could "talk to" the air card directly. Does such a thing exist? If so, does anyone know what key words I should search for to find this functionality, or have some links to products that would do that?
