If "mainly" for gaming, wudnt a 45nm C2D like the e8400 be better?? Or the new 45nm quads (if affordable).. For gaming, right now, the C2D's have the upper hand! But, q6600 is still a gr8 processor!

I was thinking about the e8400 but the reason i didnt get it because its only a dual core and newer games will support the quad soon so that way the quad is future proof and the new q9300 is not much better then the q6600
and it cost much more and i heard its multiplier was low so it was harder to overclock.

p5n-d is a bad mobo - many peope had issues with this mobo early - although i have not followed up on updates i suggest the striker II 780i

skip lite on and use pioneer - they run much smoother - lite drives are loud. i have not used that particular drive

galaxy 3d cooler is really sub par, if your only cooling the cpu or gpu its ok - you can find better systems or piece it yoursel. i suggest you research this more.

run raid and use 2x 250gb drives!

ocz ram is ok

remember with ram - you want lowest latencys at the lowest voltage

4-4-3-12 at 2.1v is not as good as 4-4-4-12 at 1.8v

1.9v low latency means you have room to oc it!,

yes i agree with mondo stick with air cooling!
