SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
HI guy's i need little and i dont know in whch is it i assembled a new machine there rigs are q6600 processor intel dg35ec (classic edition) motherboard 3 gb transcend ram my question that will i able to overclock my processor with this motherboards through bios or not if not mean which software will be best for overclocking q6600
Intel has it's own O/C software. I forget what it's called but a google search might turn something up. From what i've heard - Intel boards dont overclock very well. Can anyone confirm this ?
with exceptions. the Skulltrail is built for OC'ing, i think. also the 975XBX2 board. but most of 'em are built to run at stock.
Intel boards are designed to run at spec, they want to sell you a more expensive CPU. So why would they want you to OC a cheaper CPU?
On a d925xbx(i think that's the mobo) I got a mild overclock. Look for a bios setting called "burn in mode".
I have a GA-X48T DQ6 and it's not too shabby when it comes to overclocking. I'm running a QX9770 3.2GHhz @ 4.3Ghz with custom water cooling. I think maybe the slightly older Intel boards may not have been so good, but the newer ones are ok. Here's a link to my 3DMArk06 score so you know i'm not full of it.... http://i544.photobucket.com/albums [...] b-site.jpg
