So I think this is my next case!!! It's black and looks like a beauty. Anyways I found on a few different sites. Does anyone have one yet and how is it? Also I have seen it priced at $150-$250 depending on the site. Has anyone done business with any of these companies, Newegg being the exception:

1. http://pcmaniacs.com.au/antec-twel [...] -4309.html

2. http://www.directron.com/twelvehundred.html

3. http://www.provantage.com/antec-tw [...] NTG051.htm

4. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] %2bhundred

Also does anyone know any other sites that I could find this case on.

Where do you live because pcmaniacs is an Australian site and i dont think he'll ship overseas. They are good but probably not your option.

Before you buy that check out some Lian-Li cases, they are all aluminium and extremely well built. A10, A70, PC-80

Directron is a good company. I have dealt with them for the past 5 years and have had no problems. I once had a DOA PSU and they replaced it. I even stop by their warehouse from time to time to pick my orders up. That's a very good price they have on that case. The ETA for new stock is today.

I agree with dallasjoh, Directron is great. The Antec Twelve Hundred is a good case, it really is nothing special, but it is good. The looks are ok, but they get old after awhile and all my friends agree. The case can be a little loud, sometimes you have to rig a few parts to stop them from rattling and there are a lot of places noise can easily pass through. The cooling is good, of course, the Antec Tricool fans are some of the best quality. The features the Antec Twelve Hundred offers are kind of basic and not exactly special. Considering the total lack of aluminum it is also overpriced really. I would recommend this case in the end, but cases like the Cooler Master 830/832, Lian-Li PC-70, PC-60, Silverstone Tj07, KL03, and the Xclio Windtunnel Advanced are cases I would also recommend and, for most of them, I would recommend more than the Antec. I own an Antec 900, bought a 1200 and returned it on the realization that the difference is purely cosmetic and the cooling was pretty much the same. I can say the Antec Twelve Hundred is a good case, but not the greatest case the plethora of Antec 300/900/1200 fanboys would have you believe. Feel free to ask questions about any case at all, I have done plenty of research and can answer almost any of your questions.

okay, i checked out all of the cases that you guys came up with. I don't know that I really like the Aluminum all that much. I know they are lighter, but I will lug the computer around when necessary. I think we will be getting the antec 1200 from directron. It's way cheaper and if I don't like it I will use it for one of my friends builds later this summer and buy myself a different one. The Lian-Li cases did look pretty sweet.

^ There is a deal, the Cooler Master 830 is one of the absolute best cases on the market with it's insane cooling.

I totally agree Kiwi_Chuck, aluminum is not needed, it is nice, but I can manage with steel, but never plastic. Thing is I was commenting on the Twelve Hundred's price, seems a little high. What ever case you get now I hope you like it and if not then we are here to help you choose. Enjoy!

I just picked up the case (1200) during my lunch break. I was wondering why you returned yours ? Was it because you already have a 900 and for you they are not so different or were there other reasons ? Did you install stuff in it or you just looked at it and sent it back ?

I will start moving things over from my P180 tonite so I would appreciate your comments on the 1200. :)

Yeah I rebuilt my entire system in it and the temps were the exact same, a good case just not an upgrade from the 900.

Ok well I am changing from a P180 to the 1200 not the 900. Thx for the response!

No problem just remember to clean the dust filters every few days, they get full quick.

Man just buy a cosmos. I can't think of a case with more features at anywhere near the price, I have one, it's water ready and the flow through is great. Besides all that its dam sexy. I suggest you go and see one in a shop before you decide anything.

Reply to Vertigon

Cosmos cases do not cool as well as the 1200, and are not made quite as well. Also if the O.P. wanted to go with a water cooling kit he would not be looking at an Antec 1200, let alone asking other people about it. Eh, take it from me the Cosmos S is an ugly case with slightly disappointing cooling, but is amazing for LAN parties.

Reply to The_Blood_Raven

I agree with you Blood_Raven the Cosmos S is kind of ugly and it did not get great reviews for its cooling capabilities. I read most of the reviews about it and all of those I read were disappointed with its cooling.
