Hey All,

I'm having a bit of a problem, and heard that this is a great place to help figure them out.

When I started my laptop today, I got the error message 'Logon Process Initialization Failure. See Event Log for details'. The screen is completely black, except for that message, and there is no event log to see, just an ok button. It won't allow me to start up Windows at all. When I press the ok button, the error disappears for a second and then reappears. I'm running Vista, and I do not have a disc for it as it came preloaded when I got my laptop.

Any thoughts?

I tried going into the Advanced start up menu and doing a system restore, but it didn't work and I can't even access anything in safe mode, the same message still shows.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you have a ms logon error its usually crupt os install

but it that says this does not pass logon during the os install

try doing a repair boot from disc and choose repair not install
