Hi, I just bought a new Samsung 305T (will be here on tuesday) and going from 1280X1024 to 2560X1600 means I probably need to upgrade my graphics card. My current specs are:

Q6600@3.6 (water cooled)
evga 8800GTS 320 @ 610MHz (water cooled as well)
3GB corsair DDR2-6400
Striker II Formula
Hiper Type -R 580W PSU

I was thinking of getting another GTS 320 and doing SLI and wait for the new cards to come out in July (evga step-up) or should I just buy a 8800GTS 512 or two now and be done with it? I only need to run this display and usually play FPS and RTS. Also when upgrading should i get a new PSU (I was thinking of the PCP&C 750W)? Thanks

From one GTS 320 owner to another please take my advice and DO NOT SLI your cards. When you SLI, you will NOT be doubling the amount of memory available to the cards. Therefore, you still still be limited to only 320 Mb. I'm almost certain that every single game you try to play at that res (even with no AA) will immediately crash. 512 Mb would be the absolute minimum amount of video memory i would even consider at that res.

If it were me, i'd game on your current monitor until at least the end of the month, when the 4xxx series comes out, then decide what card to get. If the new cards rock, get one of them, if not, they'll at least shake up the price war so you can sell your GTS, buy a 8800 GTX or 9800GX2 and then step up in July or something.

just my 2 cents.

if your trying to max out settings on a 2560 x 1600 Screen. you need at least SLI 9800gtx or something better. Grats on your screen

That would be g92 8800gts or better, not 9800gtx or better. ;)

Seriously, just look at how the GTS 320 plummets at 1920*1200, and then realize how many more pixels are in 2560X1600
