Not sure this board's voltage regulation is behaving correctly. I am running an Athlon 64 X2 5000+ black editon overclocked to 3.15 ghz. I have the cpu voltage in bios tweaker set to 1.4 but both the PC Health monitor in bios and SpeedFan in Windows report an idle cpu voltage of 1.42 and SpeedFan reports it going up to 1.5 under load when stress testing. Two questions: 1. How much variance is normal between the voltage that is set and the voltage that is reported and 2. Is it normal for the voltage reported to increase under load? Shouldn't the voltage remain the same regardless whether the cpu is working hard or resting? It's going to pull more amps by shouldn't the voltage stay the same?

No, you never get the same voltages in windows as you do in bios. There's always some discrepancy. If you want exact same temp, you have to get the best mobo for hundreds of dollars & probably vmod it. Not worth the effort & money to me.

Have you turned off CnQ?
