Am I missing something obvious?

Hi everybody. Today I have been trying to flash my bios on an abit IP35 pro mobo. Iv set up a flash drive to boot in pure dos but for some reason my keyboard doesn't respond once the command prompt appears(win98 dos mode). I use a usb keyboard but noticed my ps/2 board no longer works in the bios menu like it used to. There isn't an option to enable legacy usb support as far as I can tell.

Also earlier I was trying to re-install vista64, but when I was prompted to press any key to boot from the cd nothing happened. Its unresponsive in the safe mode menu as well. If my motherboard didn't support a usb keyboard by default wouldn't I be unable to navigate the bios?

Any ideas?

did you hit the f-lock key on the ps-2 key board ?? give that a try..

I figured it out, had to set the usb driver to bios mode instead of os. duh.
