lately my games have not been looking as good as i remember when i first got this build a couple of weeks ago. The textures seem muddy and i have been having some wierd HDR effects mostly in COD4. the settings are on highest and 1600x1200 reso. here are some pics:

the first one i noticed the textures on the brick wall do not look as clear as i remember:

the second ones are wierd HDR effects in COD4. the first is HDR form inside building, the second outside:

the thirs is from Dirt. The dirt textures dont look as good as i remebmer either. they look blurry. the hdr also looks too strong:

now is it just me getting used to a new system with awesome graphics, or is something going on here.

system specs:

Intel Core 2 quad Q6600

Nvidia Geforce 8800GT

2g Gskill RAM

MSI p31 mobo

Latest direct x and Nvidia 175.17 display drivers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those beta drivers, perhaps rolling back to 169.21 would solve the issue.

Also check the nv control panel settings, something could be wrong there.

On a sidenote, I don't think the textures look bad, but the HDR surely does.
