Must be Gigabyte fan... If i were you i wouldn't care much about 3Dmark score and test your system in-game... the game experience (FPS wise) is important IMO...
Not really Gigabyte fan, is just that the place i bought it from only sold Gigabyte parts, at good prices. Anyway... I'm not quite sure how to test the in-game FPS, how would i see it, or is this the 3dMark06 games FPS results?
Thanks for the reply
These guys are right, play it!! The number looks great, but it is in the works that matters. Spend a few hours with Crysis or COD4 and if you aren't constantly saying to yourself "come on, come on, come on!!" or "WTF was that" then all is well. (IMHO)
Who cares what the 3D Mark/FPS numbers say ?
Play the game.
If it's smooth and comfortable you're good.
If it's not reduce detail and try again.
My 3D Mark score changes from 12500-11500 depending on the time of day I test (default 1280x1024 test). It also drops heavily after two days of system uptime, makes my motherboard and/or card whine while switching modes and drives my otherwise cool 9600GT to 99°C. Go figure.
I ran COD4 max resolution(1440 x 900) flawless. Think my system is fine. Oh, and for all the people who's bragging about their stone-age computers that running at 120ºC and is overclocked to oblivion, good luck, we'll see how long they last. Thanks for all the positive replies.
I'm looking to go to Vista, because it supports diretcx10, has anyone had some serious troubles with Vista? And is directx10 really THAT good??

For ingame FPS counter give Rivatuner's hardware monitor a try.
The OSD is in the top left corner.
I second the Rivatuner OSD. I really like it and it actually looks nice.
My buddy has a Tri-Sli setup and has issues with 64bit vista. I think the problems you will have will be with the 64bit version. It doesn't like certain things, like monitors that use HMDI connectors. A little wierd, but I'll get 64bit Vista not 32bit. As far as DX10, you can really tell a difference if you have a large high res monitor. My buddy had a 19" and wasn't all that great, Then he got a 24" and it was fantastical looking. He turned it on in World in Conflict and it was really sweet looking. Basically if you can't max out the game in DX9 it won't benefit you at all.
