Hi all

I'm trying to help someone out. problem on a FujiSiemens Scaleo 600 with a GA8ISXT-FS Mb It was overheating; found to be the heatsink only hanging on by one clip... the other one was off. Found the plastic catch on the MB mount for the sprung clip is broken off.

I'm sure that is all it needs but it is out of production now, along with the motherboard too I'm sure.

Anysouce for a replecment you can point me too? Can't all be unique fittings can they? Mounted by four Nylon posts (around the CPU )through the Mboard

Help!

Thanks

Find the "tit" that broke off and use 5-minute epoxy to put it back on. After the epoxy cures it holds over 2-Tons psi and should brake anyplace -other- than that if it happens again!

ZOldDude!!!

Your suggestion (although very fiddly) is working so far and holding. I added some this very thin strips of 1mm aluminium around the breaks to help support it. I presume with some heat in the box too, it will only get a stronger bond.

Hope this is not premature.. but thanks for suggestion.. Wow for Epoxy resin!!!
