Hi,

I am a musician and a digital audio creation enthusiast. I am in the process of upgrading from my older P4 computer and building a new system. I would like to spend between 1500-1900$us. Does anyone know if I should go with core 2 duo or, say core 2 quad9450? The extreme chips are too expensive...

Thanks

if the software you are using can use more than 2 threads, then go with the 9450. otherwise go with an e8400

1. the jump from a P4 to even a lowly E2140 is monsterous
2. the Q6600 is so cheap, so why the hell not go quad?

quad is the only way - go get one
