I am looking for an Intel mobo and cpu combo around $200 to $230 USD that would give me a good gaming experince with an 8800GT. I thought about an Amd 5000 BE w/Gigabyte Ga-Ma770 DS3 combo but not quiet sure I am gonna get my money's worth. The intel cpu's has more L2 cache than the 5000 BE, and it makes me think that would give me an edge over the Amd. I play games like Madden 08, Simscar Racing games(Nascar), drag racing games and thing's like that. I want to be ready when new games come out also. I don't want to start an Intel/Amd war just want the best budget combo I can get. The Amd combo was around $160 USD so I figure The Intel would be more. Oh and by the way I will definitely be overclocking. I figure my budget would be around $550 to $600 or so buck's.

Um get the same as me, E7200 and an abit IP35-E. Good overclocking and will cost about ~US$230.
EDIT: maybe someone could suggest a better mobo? Like that popular gigabyte one. But the e7200 is a real (budget) winner

Yeah I was looking at an 8200 and the 8400 even the 2180. For the mobo I was looking at the DFI and the Giga's.

If you can afford it, go 45 NM. I have a e2180, and it overclocks like mad! (read my sig)

But the 45 NM cpu's overclock even higher. A e7200 is good for a budget build.
check out the GA-EP35-DS3L
