Hey guys, my current mobo is the Gigabyte GA-M55S-S3 (rev 2.0), but im having some heat issues with the northbridge, it gets to a scorching 90 degree's celcius and cuts out the system, when im playing games (three minute's in GRID will get it to near turning point) - and if i dare to reboot the system untill the northbridge has cooled down, it will destroy my psu (it's blew a 650watt and a 450watt), as im a gamer this board must go, so im looking for a new board and have these two in mind. and my cpu is an AMD 64 x2 6000
Asus M2N-E and the Asus M2N-E SLi (it came with my system when i purchased it, great board no problems except for the fact i overloaded it and blew it )
The M2N-E has a better arangement of the 20+4 pin plug, where as the sli's is annoying and tricky to get to as i have an asus silent knight II HSF, but which board's chipsets are cooled better? - my cooling is quite good, par say.
Any information/prices/temps and all that tech stuff would be great, or reviews from people who purchased the boards threw retail sellers.
The SLi's northbridge did get warm for me, but no where near as hot as this gigabyte's is - and i could game for days and it wouldnt crap out on me.
Also i live in the UK, and have a £60 budget, and i would really like to get this board delievered to me as soon as friday as my new psu unit will be here then.

I think your high chipset temp may have to do with the chipset heatsink that's losing contact with the chipset. Use a pair to needle-nose pliers to remove the 2 push-pins from the back of the board, check the contact. If you add TIM, you may void the warranty. RMA it back to GB. When you get it, put it on ebay.
