i believe i have this mother board with the on board audio (HD audio) and there has been a problem with the sound
the problem is i need to turn up my volume a lot more than i use to...the sound has gotten a lot softer than what it use to be...now i can almost turn up my speaker all the way and it still sounds weak
i also tried to head phone and its the same way
i believe its the on board audio and not the speaker itself
what is the problem?

Try re installing drivers. If that doesn't work grab a cheap PCI sound card.

It has been a long time since I installed the driver for the sound
for this mother board don't i have to get the driver from the website instead of the motherboard cd because the drivers from the mother board cd wouldn't work? did u have the similar problem?

Do you have AC3 Filter? Turned up all the way?

Control panel>Sound Devices>Turned up all the way?

you can try and re-install the driver. d/l it from the gigabyte website as its more up to date than the one on the cd

In Device Manager do you have any yellow marks ?

Did you notice this problem after installing SP3?

hey guys i think i got the problem fixed! re-installed the driver
but can someone tell me why stuff like this happen?

Reply to speedlingz

Re-install of the driver would have reset all volume levels, balance and anything else that was different to default. More than likely there was something turned down, off somewhere that was reset with the driver install

Uninstall your sound device driver(s)
reboot
Reinstall drivers from Realtek web site. You can get the HD one there also.
