Cannot Boot

Hi, I am a new member. I was referred to this website by a friend. Currently I cannot boot my copy of windows xp pro after reinstalling. The problem happens right after the windows logo loading screen. The screen will just turn black and the there is no orange light flickering to indicate the computer is running.


my model is vaio pcv rx470ds. Pentium(r) 4 cpu 1500mhz 1.5 ghz, 512 mb of ram

Try tapping F8 repeatedly on startup. If the advanced boot menu comes up, try getting into safe mode.
