Well my x800xl just died. I am looking for a replacement with the same or little better performance. I still want to stay with a ATI GPU. Any sugestions?

I was looking at the hd2400 and hd 2600 but I understand there is no drivers for the cards?

What do you all recomend.

I have an HD 2600 and there are definately drivers.

I like the cardf, but I haven't stressed it much.

I can't recommend the 2400 I think that is mostly for OEM's looking for a step above the Intel IGP 3100x and really doesn't have much capability.

the last one is ninety bucks and it has the fastest clock. but much slower memory gddr2. but i would recommand either the first or the second one since those are the only two with 256bit memory. last one has only 128bit

What about all the driver issues. I keep hearing they are no drivers for it from ATI?

i don't know anything about there not being drivers for 3850agp. this is the first i heard of it.

The drivers are there i beleive you are refering to a known issue with the 2600 AGP cards, There are special Hotfix drivers for them here http://support.ati.com/ics/support [...] nID=31542.

If you can list your full system specs and please include PSU/Watts/make /Model. If you know the Amps on the +12Volt rail it would help but not essential.
Then we can get back to yuo with some suitable sugestions.

AMD 64 3000 754
2 Gigs of ram
Thermaltake Purepower 420w Power Supply
2 WD 120 Gig hard drives.
