GA-MA770-DS3 sata problems

Hi, I just built a new system for my brother and one thing is wrong.
I have a Sata HDD in the SATA0 port and a DvD drive in the SATA1 port on the Mobo.
One thing thats weird is that i think it doesn't find the HDD nor the DvD. Because when i have the DvD in first boot and when i use the XP CD it says, CAN'T FIND SYSTEM DISK PLEASE PRESS ENTER, i try one more time and it says the same. Whats the problem? And in the BIOS when i Enabled the SATA Controller and when i try to found a HDD in IDE0 MASTER (that what the manual said), it will find nothing. So if anyone knows how to config the bios or have this MoBo. Please help!

dude... Could you write how did U made it to work.

I have the same motherboard: GA Ma770- ds3 and SATA HD: WD3000jd-00klb0 connected to SATA port and from some weird reason HD isn't detected by BIOS while my ATA HD and dvdr connected to IDE port work great.
