Hi all.

I have a couple CRT HDTVs, but since I'm moving into a house with a
perfect home theatre room, it's time to begin looking for a projector.

I'm looking to buy a projector, which will be mounted up at the
ceiling and project onto a 9-foot wide screen. I'm willing to spend
up to $3000. I would appreciate either some direction for certain
makes/models, or personal recommendations. I'm interested in 1280x720
resolution (720p) since I'll use it for HDTV from a OTA receiver and
also from a computer (with a VGA->RGB converter). It will also be
used to view movie DVDs, so calibration to proper contrast/brightness
will be key.

Thanks a lot in advance!
-Michael

Use what you save for a nice high gain screen. Go to AVS forum for
screen advice.

Check streetprices.com and pricegrabber.com for the lowest price.
Lowest price I saw at a glance was $1,629.
