Hi All,

I have a USB HD that my Vista Ultimate 64bit system doesn't recognize. I was originally going to put this in my laptop but decided not to, I think the Dell install CD may have messed up the partition. Is there a way (free SW, or something) that will let me delete the partition and reformat the disk?

Thanks.
M.

Vista can do that itself. Go to its disk management tool. Press Windows Key + R, type in "diskmgmt.msc", then press Enter. You'll be presented with a list of your hard disks; right-clicking on one will let you delete, create, resize, or format a partition.
