I was planning to get a Xigmatek S1283 and install it on a Gigabyte DS3R mobo (w/ Q6600 chip).
I want to install the Xigmatek facing the back of the case so it blows the hot air onto the back exhaust fan.
In this orientation, it looks like the large heatsink on the north bridge on the DS3R might hit the Xigmatek.. some reviews on Newegg indicate this with other coolers.
Note: I understand this might fit with the Xigmatek facing the bottom of the case but this seems like a stupid thing to do. I want the hot air blowing out the back, not towards the video card / RAM!
So, does the Xigmatek clear the NB heatsink of the DS3R in both orientations???
