More Information

Hi,

Im currently doing some rebuilds on my systems, funny thing s happening with the current system:

If I add a HDD the system will shutdwon immediately after power on (like a safety switch) I have to unplug re plug in the power cord to resolve.
Now I have tried a myriad of scenarios with this and it seems that whether everything is connected or nothing is connected (no IDE/PCI etc) when I connect power to the HDD the system halts within nana secs of power on.

Further humour:

Im trying to connect 2 HDD drives (1 for OS, 1 for cache/files) as mentioned 1 HDD will haltthe sys no matter what I do....The other however will halt the system in the same manner if I dont have the first power connector on the 2 connection cable connected to the CDROM drive - !!???

If I put either drive in another system no dramas

HELP!!!!
