Hi there(sorry for my bad english)

I am currently planning to upgrade my current processor because it really sucks(cant play GTAIV it gives me an headache,"stuttering)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ BE 2.6GHZ
CoolerMaster Vortex 752
Gigabyte MA78GM-S2H(1.0)
Corsair XMS2 DHX 2GB DDR2(TWIN2X2048-6400C5DHX G)
HIS HD 4850 Turbo
Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200.11

I am keeping an eye on the Phenom II X4 920 because that is the only thing i can afford, now my question is does my current setup can handle this babe? I mean can i Overclock it at 3.2Ghz or higher? and my second question is how do i overclock it? any kind of helpful turorial, software to use or any helpful stuff(sorry but i am a total n0ob)

Note: i will not use my current cpu cooler because it really sucks, i cant raise my processor's multiplier because my processor is reaching 80C and up in 100% load in 3ghz so i set it back in its default multiplier and reduce the voltage to 1.200 but still at 100% load it still reach 80C oh my god WTF so i am planning to use the cpu cooler that comes with Phenom II X4 920

Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated, thnx for viewing my thread

You need to have a look at Gigabytes webpage for that motherboard and follow the link to the CPU support list .

That will tell you if it will run and if you have to flash the BIOS .

oh by the way thnx for the response :) i already checked the compatibility of the processor and my problem is how to overclock it because i am a total noob, because the process of overclocking it is different and much more complicated than my current processor(athlon 64 x2 5000+be just increase the multiplier and you go to heaven :D

If you dont have an unlocked multiplier you increase the FSB .

If you read the topics stuck to the top of this mb you will find very good information .
