Any P5N-D SLI issues with the 9800 GTX?

On the P5N-D motherboard I recently purchased, the 2 9800 GTX's I installed with the SLI bridge with the latest drivers and SLI enabled under the 3D Nvidia tab does not yield any performance gains at all!

In Crysis and COD4 which support SLI, FPS's were no different than with a single card and I would very much like my second card to work. I've checked with the device manager and both cards are registered fine and individually working. If any of you have any technical suggestions or tips, that would be much appreciated. Thanks

I feel your pain!

I have virtually the same setup, i notice a marginal improvement, namely 10 fps more in Crysis running at 1680x1050 at high spec. 3dmark, well i get.. wait for it ... about 600 more points. I could probably get more points if i painted a racing stripe on it. I've done all the obvious, although from reading, some ppl suggest sli needs to be enabled in the bios. Tonight I'll check that and update.

Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Specs are:
Asus P5N-D mobo
q9300@ 2.9ghz (yeah i'm crap at overclocking, stock cooler)
Bfg 9800gtx oc2 and Leadtek 9800gtx sli
Thermeltake 650w toughpower ( 52A)
4 gigs ddr2

Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot for the reply Khaz. I haven't found anyone with 9800 GTX SLI issues on this board yet.. Perhaps because not many people have worked with this set up. It really has been an absolute pain trying to get SLI working properly on this board.. No solutions yet.

I've checked for setting in BIOS.. Even SLI-ready memory isn't detected. I'm not sure what else to look for..

Thanks for your reply though, I will continue looking into myself.

Hi, I have this board with 2x 9800GT 1GB cards, and am sure that I should be getting a better 3dmark06 score.
I am getting just under 15000 what about you?

I have dual core E8500 3.16 @ 3.27
4 GB DDR2 800MHz
800W PSU
500GB 7200rpm SATAII HDD

Does this sound right?

Dan.
