First build -- Im totally confused now.

Thought I was making some real headway... all parts installed, booted to the bios, installed vista.

Well, now vista isn't seein' my evga 8800gts or my soundblaster card?

p35-ds3r mobo
evga 88gts 512 <--- in the only pci-e16 slot on the board
soundblaster <--- in another pci e spot

Any ideas? I have taken it out and put it back in a few times. What's up with not detecting new hardware?

Try clearing cmos. Look it up in the manual.
