I am thinking of upgrading my RAM to High Performance RAM. Does it make a difference when i game? I'm currently using 2 1GB Corsair DDR2 667 Value RAM. How much boost does it gives me?

well i would look at the Cas Latency timings of the ram. your value ram right now probably a has a cas latency of 5 and the high performance ram might have a latency of 4. the cas latency doesn't make a big difference but you might see a difference by moving to 3gb or 4gb. but remember a 32bit os can only handle up to 3 gigs of memory and you will see more speed by buying ram in pairs for dual channel

I am currently using http://www.overclockers.co.uk/show [...] =MY-058-GL
They are excellent, very cheap and run at very low latency compared to some of the more expensive products, ive been using them for about a year overclocked to 900MHz ish, and they run smooth

This keeps the good aspects of value and loses the negatives!

Hope this is some help

You will not notice any difference when gaming.
If you overclock your cpu, then you may want the extra speed of performance ram.  The latency issue can be measured, but not felt.  Real boosts will come from a change in video card and/or cpu.

^ Good RAM allows you to loosen latencies and clock pretty high. For example DDR2 800 with timings 4-4-4-12 usually let you go to around DDR2 1066 timed @ 5-5-5-15. Something of that nature. But definitely the lower the latency the faster the RAM.
