Hello everyone!

I'm a relatively new poster on here, and I'm trying to get all my parts together to build my first computer.

I'm having some trouble making decisions though.

I was originally gonna go with a Cooler Master COSMOS 1000, but I've heard that the case has some heating problems.

Is this true?

Im mainly going for an air cooled system, planning at most to place a better heat sink on the CPU than the stock that came with it. Is there a better case that I should get that still provides just as much room as the COSMOS? I figure the more room I have the better

Also, I'm not sure how big of a Power Supply I need for the system I'm building?

I really appreciate any help you guys can throw my way :)

Here's the system I want to build:

GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L
mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
2x Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM
ASUS Black 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM SATA DVD-ROM Drive
Pioneer Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW DVD Burner
EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX(G92) 512MB

I'm not too knowledgeable on cases, but i've seen the Antec 900 is the case of choice for a lot of people, i'd suggest getting one to your preference that has room for a lot of fans and you shouldnt need more than 500-550w, though more is always better

Does that case have plenty of room to work with?

The 900 is probably one of the best around for air flow and price.

PSU id go for something like this

Ahh, thank you so much.

I wasn't really sure how many watts i'd need to power my system. Is 650 about the average now a days?

650w will give you some room to spare, i think you neglected to mention the cpu your using but it wont matter, OCing it will still be enough ;)
