My program on the desktop became link how do I turn them back as programs

Hello,
I downloaded a program and found out that I cannot delete it. Every time I turn on my pc It comes out and every time I log out, it stay on on my pc. So, I deleted it and then I discovered that all my programs became a executable link.

Well, first off, to turn of the link style:
Open up any Windows folder, click on Tools, Folder Options. In the General tab click on "Double-click to open an item", click OK.

Second, what is this software you could not delete? You may need to run a virus and spyware scan on your system.

restart your pc and while it is restarting click F8 until it goes to safe mode. Select a date before and click and it will start restoring from the date you selected and follow what ever it tells you to do
