Yes nother what is my temperature thread  :sarcastic: . This is my first 775 build . I'm using an E7200 at stock speeds with the stock fan on a GA-EP35-DS3L motherboard .I want to know wich one is the correct one and if its normal since i thought i was gonna see temperatures on the 30s since its a 35 nm that runs on 1.2 v.

Since the temp programs rely on a Tjmax temp, which determines when it will throttle/shut down, it's really hard to say what is more accurate.

That is the main reason why you have different temps on the cores themselves.

Realtemp would perhaps be closer, since the programmer did his test measuring the temp externally, and while CoreTemp is perhaps based on something else, since the Tjmax on RealTemp is 95C vs CoreTemp 105C.

The newer SpeedFan would also based with how they determined the Tjmax.  With SpeedFan however, you can adjust the offset to match RealTemp or CoreTemp.

I guess the only real way to be more sure, is to use a thermal couple to measure the actual temp you system is producing or IR Thermometer, to have something to compare the temps.

Edit:

Also.. all programs, even CoreTemp, you can manually adjust the Tjmax as well.

Go with RealTemp readings, at least for me they were close to +/-4C as measured by a IR thermometer and also SpeedFan calibration (via CompuTronx's method) was +/-2.5C.

@OP: The E7x00/E8x00 CPUs are 45nm and not 35nm. ;)

If buying a new HSF, look at the XIGMATEK S1283.

It should be about $36 or so on Newegg. (If buying the XIGMATEK also get the bolt in kit. )
