Ok i have now overclocked my E6300 to 3.05 ghz idling at around 36c. I want to get either a 8800gs or 9600gt to do dx 10 and raise my benchmarks from the 7900gtx.I run native at 1280-1024 and i'm willing to spend 100-155 for a new video card. Are either of these cards overclockable to reach 8800gt standards at 1280-1024 and what percentage wise would this upgrade from my 7900gtx.

The upgrade from 7900gtx would be about 30%.
Both cards are very much overclockable when they perform very close to stock 8800gt.
Did you search before you post ? There has been 10's of exactly similar threads within first few pages.
