I posted here a while back, but didn't have the money to start the build. Now I do, but prices/availability has changed a bit, so I've been working on a new build. Please be critical! Here's the build:
It says it does, but trust me and do a little searching. It doesn't play well without heavy tweaking and loads of frustration. DDR2 800 will save your sanity.
------------------------------Exchange Engineer - Why is it that when DNS goes down everyone thinks it's my exchange server?
I actually like that drive, i'll probably switch mine out for it. Any other suggestions on the other parts? I'm still researching 1066 vs 800 ram. I may switch to 800 just to be safe, but want to find out more still.
Just to be sure, for 800 speed DDR2, I'm looking for 4-4-4-12 timing, correct?

Subtotal $923.90
Tax $0.00
UPS 3 DAYS $44.92
Rush Processing $2.99
Order Total $971.81
100 Dollars in MIRs, free Company of Heroes, and pretty cheap shipping for it all I think. I will be upgrading to 64bit Vista Home Premium as well. The Antec 900 and the PSU were a combo deal through Newegg, which saved me an extra 20 bucks, and the HDD fan was essentially free, doubt I'll use it though. Any other advice?

The Antec EA650 PSU has a single 6+2pin PCI-e connector and costs $100 Corsair 650TX has two 6+2pin PCI-e connectors and is $110 plus $20 rebate. The 2nd 6+2pin connector gives you a future upgrade option for a video card that take 2 PCI-e connectors (9800GTX 1x6pin and 1x8pin for example)
The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro comes with its own very good MX-2 thermal compound pre-applied to the heat sink so you can leave the AS5 off your buy list.
