I'm going to be buying one of these two for my new PC. The DFI X38 has been recommended to me over the X48 because it is slightly cheaper and (in the poster's opinion) offers me virtually the same feature set.

I've found some X48 boards on newegg that are equal price or even cheaper than the DFI X38 (including one DFI X48). I figure I must be missing something on this last point because that makes no sense (I'm new at this).

Also, any feelings on DFI boards in general? Another reason for that recommendation was the DFI BIOS.

At any rate, these are two of the X48s I was considering:

Are there any differences I'm missing as to why the price is so different? And, obviously, should I just stick with the X38?

Price isn't really a factor here, I just want what's going to work best with my other parts (q9450, HD 4780).
