Please help me. My friend told me I shoulda got this 9600 GT Superclocked but I ordered the 8800 GT. I am not totally sure why he thinks the 9600 GT superclocked will be better. Maybe because of direct x10 or something, and I wanna play Age of Conan?
Could you please look at the comparison below and let me know what would be better about the 9600 GT?

If your primary concern is to play games then get the 8800GT.
Personally, I have a 9600GT that is passively cooled in my HTPC, but it's primary purpose is not for gaming. I have another PC for gaming. I got it because it is quiet and I may want to play non-graphics intensive games on a HDTV in the future.

Thanks, I have no idea why the 9600 GT Super Clocked would be better.
just as a point of interest, many people (self included) have clocked up stock 8800gt to ssc edition (http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=512-P3-N806-AR) levels with evga precision with little more than a fan speed increase in the software while gaming
i'd say you could clock your 8800 gt to superlock 9600 clock levels pretty easily and the 8800 is statistically better.
if you read the "best video cards for the money" article for may; a dual 9600 gt setup is great according to THG if you have a board for it. As dagger said though the 8800 GTS 512mb is awesome for its price point =)
I'm pretty happy with my 8800 GT, but I might go for an upgrade yet.
The 9600GT is (alot) cooler, quieter and cheaper. However, it performns 10-20% worse than the 8800GT at stock, which can be reduced to almost nothing with decent overclocking. Of course, you can overclock the 8800GT and completely blow away an overclocked 9600GT.
