No hard disk present

Hello,
During reinstalling windows xp a message appears saying no hard disk present......
I also tried slipstreaming process but still didn't work...
pls help me.......

SATA disk? Do you have the BIOS set for IDE mode or are you installing the correct drivers at install time?
