Unblocking blocked startup programs permanently?

How do I unblock startup programs which I suddenly learned were blocked when I turned on my computer? One was my MozyHome backup system. I see several programs listed. Where did this come from?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Press your Windows key and R together and in the box that pops up, type msconfig then press Enter. Click on the StartUp tab and tick or untick anything you either want or don't to come on automatically at boottime. Anything unticked will still work but only when you want it to. Click Apply then click on the Services tab.

Tick to "Hide all Microsoft" then look at what's left. Anything showing as Disabled might include things you want to come on so put the tick back in. Untick anything you can do without but remember, in this tab you are disabling rather than simply blocking at boottime.

Click Apply then OK your way out and after the restart, tick the "Don't show this message again" box and press Enter.
