I bought a Maxtor Shared Storage II from Seagate's outlet ($60 for 500GB single disk, free shipping with "outletfreeship" promo code, if you want to check, they have sales about every 2nd or 3rd Thursday night, 8pm ET).

I looked for info online & found a lot of unhappy purchasers, which you would expect, since if you are happy, why post somewhere? But now I'm worried ...

So, does anyone have Maxtor Shared Storage & they're happy?

Has anyone done the conversion to the Central Axis firmware, and can you report?

Well, you should've read the reviews before buying the product, but who knows? Your hard disk may turn out to be reliable after all.
