Hey guys, im new to this forum and I have a question.

Since 2006 I've been using a mostly stock HP a810n with...

XFX Geforce 6600 GT

I thought it was time to get a bit more up-to-date so I have been looking on Newegg for computer parts.

I am in need of a new CPU, Mobo, RAM, PSU, and Case.

So far I found a nice Raidmax case, RAM DDR2 800 (2 x 1gb), and Apevia 500 watt PSU.

My budget is under $300 trying not to go over.

Now this is my main question.

I came around the AMD64 X2 5000+ Black Edition, and a Biostar TForce8200 A2+.

I would like to get both, but together they exceed my limit. So I found some cheaper backup PSU and Mobo which is the AMD64 X2 4600+ and Biostar A770 A2+.

Getting either one of the 2nd choices mixed with my 1st choices brings me under $300 but I'd like to ask what is more worth getting?

Is it ok for me to take the AMD64x2 5000+ BE and the Biostar A770 A2+?

or

The AMD64x2 4600+ and the Biostar Tforce 8200 A2+?

I heard that the 5000+ BE doesn't come with a HSK and Fan and people were saying it wont be able to use the multipler thing in the A770 mobo.

What is better to go for and why? And please no saying "save more money to get both."

Thanks!

Im also looking for some moderate gaming.

Enough to play Battlefield 2142 nicely, Quake and COD4.

The GPU I already have. And I run on 1280x1024 most games and I even prefer just windowed 1024x768.

Be very careful about undercutting your PSU, do so and you'll get a really laggy/low fps comp, just cause it doesn't get enough power. GFX cards today usually eat a lot of power as well, so I wouldn't go under 500 if I were you.

And I'm no pro at this, but been checking tests and stuff lately since I upgraded my comp today, and Intel > AMD atm. Don't know how much the Q6600 cost @ Newegg, but it's a very good cpu.

I already do have a 500 watt PSU with decent amps ready to buy. And people were saying it could run a 8800 which is what im looking to get.

As of now my friend is gunna provide me a 7600 gt for the while.

I'd love to get an Intel buy on newegg all I couldnt find a Duo under 100.
