Probably a dumb queston but (I would just like confirmation) this card is better than the 8800GTX yes?

GPU Speed: 600 MHz
Memory: 1GB
Memory Bit Rate: 512 Bit
Memory Type: GDDR3
Memory Speed: 2000 MHz
Pipelines/Stream Process: 256
Interface: PCI-E 2.0 (x16)

It's a great card, I was thinking of getting it, but then I heard about this GT200 (9900) coming out June/July. Does anyone have any info on the GT200? Significantly better than the above card?

Thanks all

Yes, the 9800 X2 is better than a 8800GTX.
It is slightly more memory limited at higher resolutions that SLIed GTXs though.
Due to having 2 GPUs working together on the X2, there is only 512Mb available for use (each GPU must store duplicate data in the 1024Mb total memory).

The GTX280 should be out in the 3rd week of next month.
It is supposed to be a single GPU replacement for this card at the same price point.
The single GPU part should show better results in all games VS only SLI optimised games with the X2 part.
There is also supposed to be a X2 version to be released at a later date.

You should defiantly wait the extra month and review your options then before purchasing this card.
