Hi i am buying this computer in a couple of days and i wonder is it good? I have a 2,000 dollars budget and i will be using it for gaming, will overclock cpu,ram, video card.
 
e8500          
GIGABYTE X48                                                                                    
8gb ddr2 800 ocz sli edition      
4series/9900's when released(i have a 8600gt that i have laying around that i can temporary use                                                    
Thermaltake ArmorPlus(Armor+)                            
seagate barracuda 500gb 7200RPM 32mb                                                
DvD burner with lightscribe              
vista ultimate 64 bit
COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro 750

X48 is kind of an overkill esp. since Nehalm is just around the corner. Consider a good P35/X38.  
 
Also consider getting a better PSU. The CpplerMaster PSUs are cr@p.

Nice build...though the E8500 does not give that much performance boost compared to the E8400 which is considerably cheaper.  
 
Also that PSU is overkill...even though you're gonna use SLI/CF, its tsil overkill ... stick with the $110 Corsair 650TX instead.... though if you must get a 750W one, get the $130 Corsair 750TX instead. Saves lot of $$.

Uh, yeah, it is. If you know everything (apparentally it seems that you do) then why are you posting here? Besides DDR3 will be down to consumer range in no time. In the last 6 months alone, the price of DDR3 has halved, and new chips are coming out. Get a cheaper P35.

An e8400 will oc just as well as e8500 with x38/48 motherboard, since fsb bottlenecking isn't a factor. With a p35 or 780i, e8500 will have an advantage.
