Do you think it is worthwhile to buy an e7400 to overclock to replace my e2160 for gaming? I currently run my games on a 28" monitor with 1920x1200 native resolution. I have some FPS drops playing l4d maxed out and I was thinking my processor may be the bottleneck. I have a 4850 512mb and 4 gigs of ddr2 ram. Any input would be helpful.

well the e7400 is a better step than the e2160 but if you were to get the e7400 I would get the E8400 for about $50 more. Where the E8400 is at 3GHz 333x9 and can overclock to 4GHz plus with good cooling. E7400 would do the same but it has 3MB L2 cache where the E8400 has 6MB L2 cache. More cache is more performance in gaming.
