Try this, unplug the system and wait 10 seconds then plug it back in and try to boot again. I've had that problem before and this worked for me.

okay guys got a problem it will not start sometimes for no reason!!! when i get it started it plays flawlessly crysis cod4 and kanes wrath for hours! Just some times when i go to turn it on it send powers to lights and fans for about a split second then cuts off. i have checked every connector and tried moved connectors around and it starts up sometimes. i have tried cutting power from the surge protector completely unplugging the pc it doesnt work! seems when i mess with the cords or move different connectors around it works. strange tho it worked fine with no issues for 2 days now im haveing problems again. any help would be greatful!

It sounds like a loose connector or a short. Do you have another system that you can connect the PSU to and see if you have the same problem?

its really strange this pc was working great untill i changed the mobo graphics card, cpu and ram! i baught a pc several months ago and put everything in a sagitta case! everything worked fine for 2 months. then i started getting more into pcs so i desided to rebuild it! so i baught those components then started haveing these problems! even after about the third time i booted the new mobo i had this problem! i have tried unpluging all different kinds of stuff to see if it a connector and its always hit or miss!

I really couldn't tell you what it is, it could be a number of things. As I said before it could be a loose connector (like a wire is loose inside the connector and not always making contact) it could be a motherboard issue which could be as easy to fix as updating the BIOS. It could be overheating or something in your PSU is going bad but isn't quite there yet. Unfortunately due to the uncertainty of what might be causing the issue I would say to rip it down and start from the beginning. Install just the CPU and try to start it and restart it (obviously it won't boot but it will start and beep which is a good sign) and if it works just add one more piece at a time starting and restarting until you either find the issue or have it together and working. I'm sorry I couldn't help more but that's the best I can think of.

So it looks like your PSU is the problem.

i found it, it was the power supply! do not use the odin 1200w gigabite power supply with this board it doesnt work with it! so i baught a cheaper power supply 1200w coolmax and its running like a champ now!!!

Reply to skarface

cpu int

is 1) you did something wrong - ram is bad, ram voltage is too low etc

2) the mobo is fried

call tech support for a rma
