Is my hard drive bad?

I recently did a low level formate to my WD 160G internal hard drive. I reinstalled OS Windows Vista, when I go to boot it seems like it stalls and never boots up. The computer POST with no error messages. I have done a DOS chkdsk and repair, I have looked at the files with Appricorn drive wire and they appear they are all there. So what can I do next?

The first thing I would check if someone presented me with a computer that would not boot would be to check the BIOS and make sure that the hard disk is recognized and that the drive was the first device in the boot order, did you change the boot order to get the Vista CD to boot?.

Yes I changed the boot order and it ask like it is running realy slow but it doesnt freeze.. Help me help me !
