Hi
i recently had to install a new harddrive due to my windows gwtting infected by a virus. unfortunately i bought and IDE HDD when my first one was a sata. i managed to install wondows and reformat my old hdd and have the system running ok most of the time.

my problem is that sometimes (specially when the system is restarted after an software install etc) the jamicron raid does not see my ide HDD and since that is the windows drive the ssytemn doesnt boot. this problem is solved when i turn off power for a while and then turn back on. however it means i have to go into bios agains and manually set the boot drive proproty every time this happeens.

ive been looking for a solution for this other than installing windows in my sata HDD. would appreciate any hlep or any pointers to how i can find some help.

please not i am not an expert but know the basics.

thanks
Riyas
