I have a toshiba satellite notebook running on Windows Vista. I am unable to boot it due to a prompt that says missing boot mgr. I tried to restore it using the recovery and installation disk but to no avail it prompts me that boot mgr is missing. Can so one tell me how to restore my notebook so it works again.

Go into bios and change th cd/dvd drive to 1st in boot sequence.
You are still trying to boot from the hard drive.
