I would like some help over clocking my new system. So far i have been able to post and load windows at 4.2Ghz. My questions are about voltages and max temps. Is the max voltage on the i7 920 1.5v and what is the max temp for this chip?
My voltages are
1.45V Core
1.96V CPU PLL
1.45V QPI/DRAM
1.65V DRAM 9-9-9-9-24-T2
Turbo mode disabled
Speed step disabled
all power saving disabled
Idle temps are from 39-42c. I can give more info. Ill take pix of the bios screens and post them if that will help. Im just looking for a stable 3.9 - 4.0GHz and as close to 1600MHz on te ram as I can get.
By the way i have 2 of these Asus p6t mother boards and so far i have had nothing but good luck with them. I tryed the msi x58 platinum and the Evga x58 and all i can say is they would not even boot at 4Ghz. This Asus P6T worked right out of the box at the settings above.
Any help would be great.
