I am building my first system for graphics work. I have a Asus Maximus Formula motherboard and need to find a well compatible DVD/CD combo drive. Any suggestions? The borad had one IDE header and most of the drives I'm looking at ar EIDE. I'm in need of help. Thanks

With that motherboard I would go with a SATA burner:

I have a X48 Maximus Formula and I went with a pair of these from ASUS:

They are SATA units with Lightscribe and have worked well. It might help that they are ASUS burners working with an ASUS board. Can't say for sure about that, but they certainly have been good.
