Anybody have a fan controller that works allright?
The CM690 has 7~8 fans, and I need something that could control fan speed. (mobo takes only about 2~3 fans).

Thx in advance!

You dont need one... most fans will come with a molex connector so you can hook it up to your powersupply.

If you are worried about noise, either buy good fans to start or you can do a volt mod to reduce the fan speed. Do a google search for "fan volt mod" and you will find it. I recommend against the 7volt mod and go for the 5volt mod if you do more than 2 or 3 fans

Thx. Decided to settle on quite fans. HIPER 120mm and 80mm seems decent at cheap price; although they don't move as much air as some others, they seem pretty quite and 7~8 of those will do the job.

ZALMAN ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller Panel

I have one on 2 rig's atm. One of them is the CM590. It's not exactly the best perhaps out there, but I like it.

I find it handy to use one of the toggle switch for the side fan, to where you can shut fan off (5v/off/12v) while the system is running, and take the side cover off.

Also, you can daisy chain perhaps 2 fans on one channel, so you don't exactly have to have 7-8 channel controller.

Edit:

Also it uses a 5 1/2 bay. One reason why I got it, since I normally have 1 or 2 bays used.. o O (might as well use the empty bay)
